Developer Nippon Ichi Software has announced the Rhapsody: 25th Anniversary Collection, a new commemorative re-release of their classic Rhapsody RPGs.
Rhapsody: 25th Anniversary Collection is in development for both Nintendo Switch and PS5 and will launch at retail for both platforms on August 29th in Japan – news confirmed in the latest Famitsu (via ryokutya2089). The developer previously hyped up the series’ 25th anniversary with a teaser site.
As the name suggests, contains all three Rhapsody games: 1998’s Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, 1999’s Rhapsody II: Ballad of the Little Princess, and 2000’s Rhapsody III: Memories of Marl Kingdom.
NIS America’s previously released Rhapsody: Marl Kingdom Chronicles only includes the latter two games in the series and not the original game, though the first game has been re-released on Switch and in Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 3. This will be its first release on PS5 and it will be available separately.
