Sihoo Doro S100 Ergonomic Office Chair Review

Sihoo Doro S100

Sihoo has been crafting ergonomic office chairs since the late 90s, offering a range of options to suit various budgets. With the Sihoo Doro S100, this venerable Chinese company has created a high-end piece of furniture that seamlessly blends sleek aesthetics with maximum comfort. While Sihoo produces premium chairs, and the S100 Ergonomic Office Chair might initially seem pricey, remember that skimping on lumbar health isn’t advisable.

As more people adopt office-based or content-creator roles, the demand for quality gamer/office chairs is rising. Factors like mobility, durability, comfort, and support are essential considerations, but which chair is the perfect fit for you? Could the S100 be the ultimate chair without breaking the bank? Let’s find out in our Sihoo Doro S100 Ergonomic Office Chair review!

Sihoo Doro’s S100 makes a statement with its massive packaging and substantial weight. The assembly is also surprisingly involved with more parts than you would expect. Thankfully, a palm-grip alan wrench is included which makes screwing and attaching components painless and fast.

The instructions are in multiple languages and the container for the washers and bolts are marked for easy identification. The manual is only helpful for knowing which bolts are used for which parts. Aside from that, the guide is not helpful with its crude illustrations. Thankfully, it is not a difficult chair to assemble and only takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Sitting in the S100, I instantly realized how bad I have had it with every chair I have ever owned. For most of my life, I have used cheap swivel chairs that don’t have armrests and are made out of light and cheap material. Usually, they are poorly balanced and tip over easily too.

The spring-loaded shocks are attached to the lower dorsal section of the chair offering maximum lumbar support, shifting and staying securely holding onto any body shape. Combined with the breathable elastic mesh that keeps you feeling cool, the back cushion feels comfortable and will prevent long-term issues for people who sit a lot.

The backrest and neck support are adjustable and fit adults and even children. The height can be adjusted and the piston lets out a satisfying hiss sound as it drops or lifts. The heft and weight of the spoke for the wheels are solid and splayed out enough to prevent tipping over. The chair is built like a rock and feels like it will last a lifetime.

The seat cushion is also made out of the same stretched mesh that has a bounce to it which relieves pressure on the spine. Reclining maxes out at about 135 degrees, which feels great when lying on top of the spring supports. Tilting back feels good enough to take a nap or relax while watching movies.

The only drawback I experienced with the S100 is with the armrests. While they are made out of sturdy, yet spongy material that feels comfortable, their adjustability is too loose. They tend to swivel around too easily and do their own thing. I would have preferred a locking mechanism to keep them in place.

The armrests can be easily lowered or raised and clicked into place. It is too bad that this was not applied to their swiveling mechanic since a more stable resting position would be more useful to me.

The S100 comes in two varieties; sleek white or executive black. I got the black model and it commands a stately presence with wavy curves and contours. The chrome accents and matte black finishes compliment the specular mesh materials that become transparent at a distance. This is a sophisticated chair that ignited a revelation that I have been neglecting my posture.

If you are anything like me and find yourself playing a lot of video games, it is absolutely worth investing in a premium office chair like Doro Sihoo’s S100. This is not only an impressively sturdy piece of furniture but is very comfortable. I noticed a difference immediately and now I realize there is no going back.

Apart from being cool-looking, comfortable, and beneficial to my back’s health, I feel more alert when I sit in it. Usually, I plop myself on a couch and after marathoning hours of gaming, I get drowsy. This is not the case when sitting upright in an ergonomically designed chair. I feel more focused and productive since my posture gets corrected as the moving parts support my lower back and relieve tension.

This truly is the ultimate chair. It will last a lifetime and while the armrests don’t work as I’d like, they would be adequate for any light individual or small child.

Sihoo Doro’s S100 is great for extensive gaming, working on a computer, or a work table. You can’t go wrong with classic executive black, but the white model has a charm all its own too.
