Being sent of my favorite streamer’s first collab gear was amazing. Shrouded in camo (and packing peanuts), this box contained some of the highest quality materials and products I’ve had in my hands and on my ears. HP’s peripherals department, HyperX, has collaborated with major streamer, TimTheTatman for their first (totally intentional) crossover.
Filled to the brim with tech goodness, the products inside are all nicely made and meant to bring out the competitor in yourself. Sporting a keyboard, mouse, headset, and gaming mat, this is the full package of hardware that doesn’t only meet, but exceeds expectations. So what’s inside each of these boxes? Let’s crack it open and take a look in our review!
This is a review coupled with a supplemental video review. You can watch the video review or read the full review of the game below:
HyperX’s First (Totally Intentional) TimTheTatman Collab
Manufacturer: HyperX
HyperX Alloy Elite 2 – TimTheTatman Edition
MSRP: $139.99 USD
Styling with the customized black and yellow color scheme, the full size HyperX Alloy Elite 2 not only has RGB lights but it’s all placed on a solid steel frame that is durable for the most incredible rage quits and pointless deaths.
Volume and playback controls are placed on the top right and provide easy access to your media, while on the top left, Game Mode and Lighting buttons to change your settings on the fly. They’re HyperX Red switches and they won’t click in your ear or microphone from what I tested.
They’re very well made and have a great feel to each key. The space bar is also marked up with the TimTheTatman logo, which hasn’t worn away from use since it’s in the center and you’ll most likely use the sides instead. It’s a hefty keyboard that weighs a good bit but it’s traded off with the durability you want.
HyperX Pulsefire Haste – TimTheTatman Edition
MSRP: $59.99 USD
Back to the basics and “if it’s not broke don’t fix it” is implemented in such a way that works, and is tried and true for this built out mouse. The HyperX Pulsefire Haste is an ergonomic, lightweight mouse that features a paracord HyperFlex USB cable that is durable and doesn’t get in the way of movement whatsoever. It’s a honeycomb shell design wonder with up to 16,000 DPI for faster turning and precision at your desire.
One thing that this features over the competition is that you can add grip tape, which is included, to increase comfort and control. The mouse is arguably the most important part of a gaming experience for FPS games; this paired with the mat make this a breeze to use and it glides. It’s thick in the honeycomb design but it’s not something that adds weight at all and it’s lighter than other lightweight mice I’ve used. It’s a simple pleasure to use and customized with the same black and yellow color scheme.
HyperX Cloud Alpha – TimTheTatman Edition
MSRP: $109.99 USD
The HyperX Cloud Alpha over-the-ear headphones take some adjusting to get used to. At first they’re a little tight but maybe that’s due to needing to break them in a bit more. Made from materials that are strong and high quality, the aluminum frame and soft speaker cups are undeniably comfortable.
HyperX has made dual chamber drivers inside that deliver pretty great sound and it’s also Discord and TeamSpeak certified. Microphone quality is decent but if you choose not to use it, you can detach it.
I personally don’t use the microphone since I use a condenser mic separately but it’s an option, and options are good. The volume and mute button are located on the cable attached which controls all audio, even when you’re not using your PC. It’s a sturdy, great sounding headphone pair that is meant for surround audio and comfort.
HyperX Pulsefire Mat – TimTheTatman Edition
MSRP: $39.99 USD
For most this is the most unappealing part of a package, but I would argue it’s just as important as the others. It’s a finely woven, durable, smooth mat that is XL sized to fit all of your accessories for your setup. The HyperX Pulsefire Mat is not overly flashy with RGB lights surrounding it but it does have the custom TimTheTatman logo and name in excellent detail.
It’s softer than other mousepads I have used and the rubber underneath grips fairly well. It doesn’t move too much when you need to move it but during normal use you can count on it being in the same spot. It’s a great material that is at a great price point. It’s outfitted to have style and performance in mind. It’s a great mat that is engineered for the two-ton champion.
HyperX has been around for quite a while and is no stranger to PC peripherals. The most recent push into the gaming space has definitely been an exciting one to say the least, especially when you add in Timmie Tendies in the mix. The price of comfort in each of these products is great and not too high especially if you want to play like one of the best in gaming.
Each product was tailored by TimTheTatman himself and is something he uses every day he streams on YouTube. I’m super excited about using these and you can definitely feel sure in your purchase that not only will it work, but it’s quality for great price over the competition.
