Retroid Pocket 4 and 4 Pro announced

Retroid Pocket 4

GoRetroid has announced the Retroid Pocket 4 retro gaming handheld, surprising fans and retro enthusiasts alike this holiday season.

The new Retroid Pocket 4 and its 4 Pro variant will go up for preorder for $149.99 and $199.99 (respectively) on December 20th at 5 PM PT / 8PM ET, via the official Retroid online store.

Shipments for the Retroid Pocket 4 and the 4 Pro will start going out on January 25th and January 15th, 2024 (respectively, the 4 Pro goes out earlier).

If you missed our Retroid Pocket 3 review, it was a very promising handheld designed entirely for retro enthusiasts to load and play their old games. The Pocket 4 seems to be a sleeker and more powerful device, with some tweaks to its buttons.

The two new CPUs included in the Pocket 4 and the Pocket 4 Pro give the device enough of a boost to rival sixth generation computational power and games, so it should play PS2 and GameCube games with ease.

Here’s the specs for both the Retroid Pocket 4 and the Pocket 4 Pro:
