Capcom shared a new trailer for Resident Evil Village’s new Gold Edition showcasing its new “The Mercenaries Additional Orders” mode, the new “Winters Expansion,” and more.

The first of the major additions is the introduction of three new playable characters for The Mercenaries: Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg, and everyone’s favorite 9 feet tall dommy mommy, Lady Alcina Dimitrescu. The Mercenaries will also be getting two new stages, The Bloody Village and The Blood River

Second, the Gold Edition will launch Shadows of Rose, a Story DLC that takes place 16 years after Resident Evil Village. In Shadows of Rose, you will play as Rose as she seeks to try and understand the powers that she has and find a way to free herself from what she believes to be a curse.

Perhaps the most interesting addition coming to Resident Evil Village is the introduction of a 3rd person mode. Players will be able to experience Resident Evil Village from the familiar over-the-shoulder angle that we have seen in previous titles like Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Resident Evil Village DLC “The Winters’ Expansion” launches on October 28th, alongside the multiplayer spinoff Resident Evil Re:Verse and the Gold Edition – all of which launch the same day.
