ReRoll, An RPG That Maps The Entire World?

If I were to report on every action RPG that was announced by overly enthusiastic developers on the internet we’d have enough articles to fill the library of Congress. The difference here with this particular ARPG is that the developers, two cast-offs from Ubisoft’s company, have devoted themselves to mapping the entire world in an effort to make their game the largest open world game ever. Well, perhaps second to Daggerfall, anyway.

ReRoll will use real world maps and locations during its development which will, if it’s done the way they promise, have you gaining levels at the top of Himalayan mountains and stealing loot on your neighbor’s lawn. It sounds audacious and perhaps a bit looney, but developer Pixyul swears it can be done.

You can view their progress on their homepage, where apparently they plan to sell bundles of in-game loot to fund the title’s development.

We’ll be sure to follow this game closely as more details trickle out.
