We’ve learned the release window for Capcom and Sony Computer Entertainment’s Street Fighter V, which previously saw rumors to launch in Spring of next year.
The news comes from Capcom’s latest earnings report, in which they listed the game for a launch in their current fiscal year – which ends on March 31st, 2016. This lines up with older rumors for the game to ship during that time frame.
While Capcom is estimating to sell at least 2 million copies between Playstation 4 and PC (via both retail and digital outlets), the publisher also confirmed their revenue was down 37.1% from last year. They raked in ¥64.3 billion ($538.4 million) yen, making this the company’s lower yearly revenue income since 2004, when they brought in ¥52.7 billion.
Capcom also recently confirmed plans to run a public beta test, which they’re touting as the “largest and most ambitious online beta program in franchise history.” A date for this test was not confirmed, but we do know if you pre-order the fighter, you’re guaranteed access.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
