We’ve heard of a hot new rumor regarding Nintendo’s code-named NX console.

The new rumor (via Eurogamer) states that the console will indeed be a handheld console that has detachable controllers, and it will utilize cartridges.

When you have the console in its portable state, it will showcase games via its own display. The change up here is the screen is reportedly offset by two controller ports / peripherals, which can be attached or detached at will.

The system will naturally be able to connect and display to your television. Due to the portable nature of the machine, multiple sources have confirmed it will use cartridges, like a previous rumor claimed. A source even claimed Nintendo recommends 32GB cartridges.
