With Nintendo finally revealing their Nintendo Switch console, many have speculated when the company would put the ax to their floundering Wii U console.
According to a new report (via Eurogamer), it seems like the tablet-focused console is getting the final nail in the coffin sooner than expected – this Friday to be precise.
“Multiple sources” have confirmed that the company will cease production of the Wii U on November 4th. This coincides with their sources noting that the final deadline for orders on the console was yesterday.
As of September of this year, Nintendo has shipped over 13 million Wii U consoles worldwide, in comparison to the 44 million for PlayStation 4 and 23 million for Xbox One.
