A new report is claiming to finally know who is developing Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo.
The new report (via Eurogamer) is claiming multiple sources have confirmed Bandai Namco’s Singapore studio is leading development on the game in collaboration with Nintendo’s own team(s).
Bandai Namco Singapore is made up of former LucasArts Singapore employees, who previously worked on the now-cancelled Star Wars 1313.
Announced for the Nintendo Switch at last year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, the announcement only confirmed the above logo and nothing else. The Eurogamer report notes there is no indication the game will release this year, as its still early in development.
Lastly, Eurogamer said it has yet to verify another rumor for hat cropped up this week, where a Linkedin profile listed Bandai Namco Singapore to be developing Ridge Racer 8 exclusively for Switch.
It makes sense that Nintendo would be collaborating with Bandai Namco more as the studio did all the heavy lifting for Pokken Tournament. What do you think about a Bandai Namco-developed Metroid game? Sound off in the comments below!
