Ziggurat Interactive announced they’re re-releasing rare and classic side-scrolling action game Rendering Ranger: R2.

Rendering Ranger: R2 is getting re-released on Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. A release date wasn’t announced, however this is the first time the game is being released outside of Japan.

Rendering Ranger: R2 was originally developed by German studio Rainbow Arts and published by Virgin Interactive exclusively for the Super Famicom back on November 17th, 1995. As there were only 10,000 copies of the game ever made, it becamse one of the rarest Super Famicom games ever released.

Limited Run Games will be offering a physical version across Switch, PS4, PS5, and even the original Super Nintendo Entertainment System – preorders are kicking off on August 5th on the Limited Run Games online store.
