Remedy Entertainment has announced a new change up with leadership with their current CEO, Tero Virtala, stepping down.

While Virtala has resigned from his position – as mutually agreed upon by the board of directors and Virtala himself – Markus Mäki was appointed as the interim CEO and Henri Österlund has assumed the role of the Chairman of the Board. Virtala was CEO since 2016.

“I want to thank Tero Virtala for his substantial contribution to the management of Remedy since 2016,” Remedy’s interim CEO Markus Mäki said in a statement. “I personally thank Tero for good cooperation and wish him all the best for the future.”

The company will soon initiate a search for their new CEO immediately, and Virtala will continue working at the company during an agreed transition period to support the handover of CEO duties.
