CD Projekt RED has confirmed the release dates for the single-player Gwent spinoff game “Thronebreaker“, as well as the full version of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game.
Both Gwent: The Witcher Card Game and Gwent: Thronebreaker release for Windows PC via GOG on October 23rd. They will also be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 4th. Gwent has been in public beta for a while, but it has one last major update that marks the full release of the game.
The “Homecoming” update overhauls the game’s visual style, with 3D models for leaders and in the portraits of cards. Players will also get access to skins to customize their leaders akin to an avatar.
The games mechanics are also stated to have new ones introduced and existing ones improved, such as nerfing the advantage the second player has and reducing the number of lanes to two.
