Devolver Digital are soon to bring us Titan Souls, the idiosyncratic shmup developed by Acid Nerve.
You can watch a Let’s Play for the title below, which will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from the gameplay. The LPer says, “It’s a very minimalist, top-down, vaguely Shadow of the Colossus-inspired game.”
In Titan Souls, players will tackle 18 different bosses by running, rolling/dodging, and firing an arrow. You only get one arrow. Players shoot this lone arrow at the bosses they face; and must retrieve it before they can attack again, either by walking over the arrow, or by holding the button for firing, which causes it to float back to the player character. (Pro-tip: the projectile’s just as dangerous when it’s floating back as when you’re firing it.)
Tital Souls was revealed to have a Spring release window as part of Sony Playstation’s Spring Fever 2015 promotion schedule, and we now know it will arrive on Steam on April 14, will be on the North American PSN on April 14, and will come to the European PSN on April 15. The game is going to be available for Windows, Linux, and Mac PCs, the Playstation 4, and the PS Vita.
