The Behemoth has confirmed the amazing news – BattleBlock Theater is coming to Steam, and it’s coming with a whole host of new features. The game originally saw release on Xbox Live Arcade last year, and it basically went on to become an instant classic, as per most of Behemoth’s releases.

The Steam release will come with new features, some of them include: weapon switching between a primary and secondary weapon, a new cat guard that protects against enemies in story mode, Steam Workshop support for user created levels, Steam inventory for trading items, prisoners, etc, Xinput (controller), direct input, and of course – keyboard and mouse support.

A closed beta for BattleBlock Theater on Steam is set to begin on the 24th of this month, it will run through the 31st. You can register for the closed beta via The Behemoth’s official website, which you can find here. A final release date for the game has not been confirmed, but we’ll keep you guys posted.
