The jabs between head honchos at all three of the big companies continue to fly throughout E3, and Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime just let out another one in a talk with the Seattle Times.
When they asked him whether or not the Wii U would ever outsell the Xbox One and the Playstation 4, he gave a pretty realistic answer, although a very interesting one:
“The dirty little secret is if you look at life-to-date numbers, between Sony and Nintendo they’d be pretty close in terms of PS4 vs. Wii U, with Xbox coming in third place. I think it’s going to be a three-horse race for the balance of this cycle.”
With the launch of Mario Kart 8, sales for the Wii U have increased, although most of the new games won’t be coming until next year.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
