Red Entertainment has announced (via Famitsu) Our World is Ended for PS Vita.

The game is described as an adventure game, with Sakura Wars scenario planner Naoki Morita handling the story planning, as well as scenario writer Taro Achi and character designer Eiri Shirai. Development is reportedly 70% complete, however a release window isn’t confirmed at this time.

Our World is Ended takes place in the current time in the Asakusa region of Tokyo, during 2017. Your goal is to avoid the literal apocalypse, brought on from a perverted programmer accidentally writing code in a virtual reality RPG that brought its horrors to the real world.

As you progress through the story, you’ll jump between the real world, which has real life locations, and the game world. You’ll be able to enter the game world via the “New World” goggles. There’s a robust dialogue system where responses change pending the characters’ emotions.
