The second season of Record of Ragnarok will be available exclusively on Netflix when it premieres on January 26.
The upcoming season will be released in two parts with episodes 1-10 coming out on January 26, and episodes 11-15 premiering later this year. Anime fans of been critical of Netflix’s “binge drop” style of release and this split might be their attempt to address it.
Record of Ragnarok takes place in the realm of the gods where time and space have little meaning. The gods, out of what appears to be spite and boredom, have decided to end humanity. In response Brunhild, one of the Norse Valkyries invokes a tournament that will allow the humans to face the gods and avert their destruction.
Human champions are called to the arena from across time and space at the peak of their physical perfection. They’ll need to be at their best to face the gods in direct combat.
