Record of Ragnarok season 2 premieres in January

Record of Ragnarok

The second season of Record of Ragnarok will premiere this January on Netflix. Technically it’s Record of Ragnarok II but we all know it’s the second season. The series began as a manga in 2017 by writers Takumi Fukui and Shinya Umemura, alongside artist Ajichika. The series is being animatd by studio Graphinica.

Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Record of Ragnarok follows the events of the proposed end of humanity by a convocation of gods from across multiple pantheons. The convocation, led by Zeus has decided that humanity has grown too arrogant and and selfish and needs to be destroyed.

However Brunhild, one of the Norse Valkyries provokes the gods into invoking “Ragnarok”. Ragnarok, in the context of the series is a fighting tournament between men and gods where champions from history are called to face divine opponents in a bid for their survival.

Record of Ragnarok II will release on Netflix on January 28 as part of the Winter 2023 anime season.
