As gamers, we can’t always control things in the games that we are playing. With lag, bad teammates, computer crashes, ISP interruptions, and faulty equipment, playing some games can be more frustrating than others. Out of all the things that can affect your performance, only you can control your computer, peripherals, and how you stylize your room.
Many gamers look to express themselves through the equipment that they use to play their games. Because of this, brands like Logitech, Secret Lab, Hyper X, Corsair, and Razer have continued to create and innovate the market with customized equipment that players can enjoy.
One popular franchise that these companies continue to provide us with equipment that allows us to express what we are passionate about. Introducing the Pokemon X Razer Gengar Collaboration.
This month while a lot of us are celebrating the spookiest month of the year, Razer has revealed a new lineup of gaming peripherals revolving around the beloved Ghost-type Pokemon, number 94, and Ash’s championship Pokemon, Gengar.
The latest set of peripherals includes a new keyboard, mouse, mousepad, and most excitingly a new headset; this new headset is a modified version of Razer’s beloved Kraken Kitty V2. This modified version of the Razer Kraken Kitty V2 has multiple spikes on the bridge connecting the ears.
At the moment, the Razer Pokemon Gengar line has only been announced for China. The Razer Pokemon Gengar Headset supposedly costs $120 USD in China, however, due to scalpers the headsets are currently being listed on eBay for anywhere between $192.99 up to $469.99.
The Gengar Razer headset is a version of the Razer Kraken V3 X headset, which is lightweight and meant to be a comfortable headset with integrated Razer Chroma RGB lighting and a HyperClear Cardioid Mic.
When you go to the Chinese Razer Store, you can not find the Razer Kraken Gengar edition on the storefront. Instead, you can find information about the Gengar Mouse and the Gengar Mousepad. Here’s a rundown on those:
Gengar Razer Wireless Mouse
“The ultra-lightweight design allows you to be as flexible as a ghost when using it. Equipped with a second-generation Razer Focus Pro optical sensor with a resolution accuracy of up to 99.8%. It is also equipped with Razer HyperSpeed wireless technology, and is equipped with a HyperPolling wireless receiver with a native 8000Hz polling rate, allowing you to easily complete every quick swipe and precise positioning.”
Razer Gengar Mousepad
“Cunning and cunning Stable output. The mouse pad uses a fabric surface and thickened high-density non-slip foam to maintain good flatness, so that the mouse can still be operated quickly and smoothly in a wide area, helping you to stabilize the output.”
What do you think of the Pokemon X Razer collaboration focused on Gengar? Will you be paying the marked-up prices of the scalpers or waiting to see if the set goes on sale anywhere else in the world?
