We’ve learned (via Hachima Kikou) that the recently teased “RAYGIGANT” is a dungeon RPG co-developed by Experience and Bandai Namco for the Playstation Vita. It’s planned to have a summer release in Japan.
The game is described as a “story dungeon roleplaying game” with story chapters divided up into three unique settings, one for each of the three heroes in the game. Dengeki Playstation says the RPG is set in June, “20XX”, and the Earth is on the brink of utter annihilation at the hands of a massive beast known only as the “Gigant”.
Three heroes are tasked with rising to the challenge of defeating it: Kazuya Tenpu (voiced by Atsushi Abe), Nil Phineas (Yoshino Nanjo), and Gail Griffin (Wataru Hatano).
Your party is locked at three members, and the battle system is described as something different from all previous Experience-developed dungeon RPGs because the camera is placed behind the party. The above screenshot was provided (from Time and Eternity) to describe what the battle looks like.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
