The release date for Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six Extraction has reportedly leaked; stating it will launch January 20th, 2022.
Rainbow Six Extraction officially launches January 2020 (possibly January 20th, 2022) on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
The game was delayed to January 2022, forgoing its previously planned September 16 release. However, this new release date comes with no grand announcement or trailer.
VGC reports an older news post on the Ubisoft website (during its initial release date announcement and gameplay debut) now lists the release date as January 20th. That post is dated June 12th, pre-dating the delay announcement on July 16th.
“Rainbow Six Extraction is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, the Ubisoft Store on Windows PC, and Stadia on January 20; is included with Ubisoft+, the Ubisoft subscription service*; and will support cross-play and cross-save across all platforms. If you already own Rainbow Six Siege and purchase Rainbow Six Extraction, its entire roster of 18 Operators will be unlocked for you in Rainbow Six Siege, along with a United Front cosmetic bundle for both games.”
The phrasing may suggest the date was intended to be adjust before publication; either “on” a fixed date, or “in” a launch window. “In January 2022” may have been incorrectly typed; but would not explain why the post was recently updated, nor Ubisoft not yet amending what would be an error. We will keep you informed as we learn more.
