Following a delay last month, Raiden IV: Overkill is set to finally release next week in Japan on Playstation 3, bringing with it a bunch of new features. The game will release in Japan via the Playstation Network on April 24th, and it will cost 2,970 yen.

The Playstation 3 version of Raiden IV has the core arcade game, as well as the Additional Mode from the Xbox 360 port, and lastly a new OverKill Mode that adopts a new scoring system. You can fight the waves of baddies in three different ships, the Raiden-Mk II, the Fighting Thunder ME-02 Kai, and a magical Fairy.

Raiden IV: Overkill is also set for a release in North America via UFO Interactive, on April 29th.
