[UPDATE]
There was some concern regarding the validity of the Steam Greenlight post for Tree of Savior, that because developer IMC Games hasn’t officially announced the campaign, it might be a hoax.
Thankfully, this isn’t true, as the developers have responded on the Greenlight’s forums, confirming they’ll reveal more information soon:
Don’t worry, We did.
We will announce the details on the official site soon.
Thank you :-)
We’ll probably write a separate follow-up story as the developers reveal more information regarding the game’s potential Steam release.
[ORIGINAL STORY]
The Korean MMORPG, Tree of Savior, has been put onto Steam Greenlight.
Developer IMC Games are made up of mostly former-staffers that worked on the original Ragnarok Online, with Tree of Savior being poised as the true successor to the Korean MMORPG.
The game is mostly reminiscent of RO in that it features sprite-based graphics, various playable classes, and of course – lots of monster slaying. Featured above, you can view the latest trailer for the game, from last year’s G-Star expo, in South Korea.
While this isn’t a firm confirmation the game is getting an official English release, it’s certainly a sign the developers are gauging fan interest to see if it’s worthwhile for them to release the game in the west.
You can find Tree of Savior here on Steam Greenlight.
