XSEED previous confirmed Ragnarok Odyssey Ace for western audiences earlier this year, with a tentative Winter release. Unfortunately, the game’s release date has been pushed back, but thankfully they have assured us it will be coming “early 2014.”

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace is a completely new version of the game that will allow players to import their characters (and everything associated with them except their currently equipped clothing).

The Playstation 3 and Vita versions of the game will both cost $39.99. The Vita version will come with a bonus soundtrack that includes a new song by Nobuo Uematsu, titled “Roar of the Black Dragon.”

Whether you’re returning to the game or starting new, you’ll be starting from the very beginning. Ragnarok Odyssey Ace comes with new items, quests, skills and a new dungeon that spans a hundred floors, called the Tower of Yggdrasil.
