Nvidia has announced an official remaster of sorts for the classic 1997-released FPS Quake II, for some reason.
The company has re-engineered the classic with “cutting-edge ray-traced visuals, all running in real-time on a GeForce RTX graphics card.” You can get a look at the slick new visuals above.
Nvidia recommends that you have a GTX 2060 to secure the best performance, of course, but it begs the question how you could run this on a non-RTX card.
The new RTX-powered version for Quake II will include the first three levels of the game, and will launch on June 6th.
