Krafton has announced a new event in PUBG Mobile that players will be able to obtain cosmetics based around the popular anime Neon Genesis Evangelion.
This isn’t the first time the game has had collaborations, especially within the anime sphere. Previously there has been Jujutsu Kaisen and Black Lagoon cosmetics released for the game as well.
The event is set to begin on May 19, where the items will be available for a limited time up until June 19, one month later. It should be noted that this is for PUBG Mobile specifically.
This means the crossover is not to be confused with the mainline PUBG: Battlegrounds, which is playable on consoles and PC. This is also not to be confused with PUBG: New State, which is a sequel for the original game that is also playable on mobile devices.
Items players will be able to obtain during this event include both Rei Ayanami and Shinji Ikari (major characters from Evangelion) plugsuits, a Pen-Pen buddy, and an EVA-01 backpack and helmet.
While the original anime series aired all the way back in 1995, it did recently get a movie series with the final film releasing back on March 2021. So the Evangelion franchise is still relevant with a large fanbase to back it up.
PUBG Mobile is available for IOS and Android devices.
