Krafton Inc. (Formerly Bluehole, the developers of Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds and Tera) have announced their RPG Mistover is coming to PC and Nintendo Switch.

While the above teaser trailer is light on details, the press release explains it is a dungeon crawler “that will challenge even the most hardcore of hardcore players.”

A terrible vortex called the “Pillar of Despair” has devastated the world with monsters until only one kingdom remained. Now heroes must band together into the Corps to push back.

If the visual style was not obvious, the press release itself even states the mechanics are a cross between Etrian Odyssey and Darkest Dungeon. Dungeons are randomly generated, and along with monsters and traps, even food you find could be poisonous.

The game also utilizes eight classes (including Witch, Shadow Blade, Grim Reaper, Paladin, Ronin, Sister, Werewolf, and Onmyouji).

Finally, the game will have a playable demo at PAX East 2019.

Mistover launches in Summer 2019 for Windows PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch.

Game Story

The unexpected appearance of the Vortex, Pillar of Despair, unleashed dreadful creatures that brutally raided the world. Defenseless and vulnerable, mankind was soon on the verge of extinction.

When all hope was lost, a miracle happened and the creatures suddenly vanished. Desperate to prevent the next invasion, the survivors created a group called the ‘Corps’ that journeys into the Vortex from whence the creatures emerged.
