Sony has announced PS5 shipments top 19.3 million units while PS4 shipments have topped 117 million units, news confirmed in their latest earnings report.

While PS5 shipments top 19.3 million units, two million PlayStation 5 units were shipped alongside 0.1 million PlayStation 4 units in the three months ending on March 31st, 2022.

Sony noted PS5 shipments were down 1.3 million from the same period in the previous fiscal year. PS4 shipments were also down 0.9 million units from the previous fiscal year total of one millon units shipped.

Lastly, Sony noted they are forecasting to ship 18 million PlayStation 5 units in the fiscal year that ends on March 31st, 2023. Sony noted this forecase is based on “a number based on our current visibility into parts procurement.”
