The Playstation 4 has launched in continental Europe, and it has already become a fast seller, most especially in the U.K. Chart-Track, a sales tracking company, has announced that the console is the fastest selling game console in the country’s history.

The Playstation 4 broke the eight year record that was held by the original PSP, which sold 185,000 units in its launch back in September, 2005, in the United Kingdom.

In a report from MCV, the console sold over 250,000 units in the United Kingdom within the first 48 hours of it being on sale, surpassing the Xbox One’s reported 150,000 units sold within the same time frame.
