Project X Zone Director Soichiro Morizumi Resigns From Monolith Soft

Soichiro Morizumi has announced his resignation from Monolith Soft.

The news comes via a tweet posted by the director of both Project X Zone and Project X Zone 2: Brave New World.

He noted his work ranging from the Super Robot Taisen franchise to Namco x Capcom, and the aforementioned Project X Zone series. He thanked his fans for the support, and the various companies he was able to work under for his projects.

Morizumi said that he intends on continuing work in the game industry, and said to look forward to meeting again in his next game.

A second tweet update from Morizumi also pointed out his departure from Monolith Soft was amicable. He joked saying his resignation from Banpresto came after seven years, followed by fourteen years at Monolith Soft, so if his next resignation is in 21 years, he’ll be at the exact age of retirement, which is 65 years old in Japan.
