Bandai Namco producer Katsuhiro Harada has revealed a new project that he’s working on – the tentatively titled Project Treasure.

The new free to play Wii U game is somewhat intriguing, although details are somewhat scarce. Harada-san detailed the game in this morning’s Nintendo Direct:

“We started a new project that’s exclusive to Wii U. It’s an action game where four players work together to complete various stages. The basic aim is to clear traps, route enemies, and seize treasures. The game itself is free to download from the Nintendo eShop and start playing. Any Nintendo Network user can play, as long as their Wii U is connected t the internet.”

Further details, like a release date, were not confirmed.

You had me at “4-player co-op Wii U game”. You lost me at “free”. When I see that word these days I just assume it requires $100+ to unlock a full game that should have been $10. I will remain hesitantly interested.

This part of the trailer could have been better presented, just saying.
