Project Mikhail and Muv-Luv Intergrate Announced

Ace held a 20th anniversary live-stream on October 21st, revealing two new games- smartphone game Project Mikhail and Muv-Luv Atlernative sequel Muv-Luv Intergrate.

At 3:42:03, a small part of Project Mikhail gameplay was shown. The action third-person shooter sees player controlling a mech (a Tactical Surface Fighter), which can be customized. While the game is coming to smartphones, on PC it will have keyboard and mouse support. The developers were quick to emphasize the game would not be a gacha game, but subscriptions and battle passes are under consideration.

The team includes Technical Director Yoshiki Kashitani (Vagrant Story, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy XIV). Other unnamed members have also worked on the Front Mission, and Naruto Shippuen: Ultimate Ninja Storm series, along with White Knight Chronicles and Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch.

Project Mikhail will launch in 2021 (supporting Japanese, English, and Chinese support options) for Windows PC and Smartphones.

Later in the livestream (3:54:45), images and details were shared about Muv-Luv Intergrate. Hirohiko Yoshida (the author of the prequel Muv-Luv Atlernative) is in charge of Planning, some of the game’s scenario, and mech designs.

Development so far is only at the plotting stages, with even the media type being currently undecided. The exact type of media will be decided closer to its release, and whatever “is best” at the time. Rather than an omnibus-style collection of stories, it was emphasized this is the official sequel to Muv-Luv Atlernative.
