Comedy Roguelike Primest Evil Announced for PC

Primest Evil

Indie developer Pixel Constructor has announced comedy roguelike Primest Evil for PC (via Steam) and other unannounced platforms.

Players take on the role of the evil mage Prime Evil, who has been betrayed by his closest advisors and allies. His former allies lord over the “Inverse Tower,” a multidimensional nexus that has been divided among the Prime Evil’s traitorous lieutenants.

Delve into the procedurally generated dungeon, gather over 1 million weapon variants, and customize them as you see fit from components you find. Beat the traitorous lieutenants, and have them rejoin you. Fulfill their quests for their “department,” and they may even stop hating you. Be careful, other lieutenants can grow tired of you picking other’s quests, and may revolt all over again!

Primest Evil will support two single player modes, Story and Endless; with the latter promising treasures that can only be found there. Up to four player co-op is planned across several game modes.

You can find the rundown (via the official website) below:

Seek vengeance in Primest Evil! Betrayed by your army of minions, reclaim what’s yours or die trying – again and again.

A Mad, Beautiful World

Experience colorful cel-shaded cartoon visuals created by veterans of the computer games and animation industries that bring the world to life.

Ever-Changing Battleground

The Inverse Tower is an ever-changing structure, and though the worlds from which its floors are drawn have a definitive flavor, procedural construction methods ensure that each visit will be different.

Found all over the Inverse Tower, players wield a variety of procedurally-generated magical items to bring down punishment upon their foes.  Magical spells also help protect and manage the battlefield.

Vengeance and Victory

Experience a comedic (if twisted) story that unfolds a different way depending as much on how you treat your underlinds as in what order you conquer them.

Conspire Together

Up to four players can band together in cooperative play across several game modes. Pursue the goal together, but make sure you get a leg up over the others…
