Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the details for the upcoming trial weekend for Predator: Hunting Grounds, along with two gameplay trailers.
The only map available will be called Overgrowth, a dense South American jungle. The Predator will have the opportunity to climb into the canopy and ambush unsuspecting fireteam members. Meanwhile rogue operatives, guerrilla forces, and ancient ruins will make noteworthy objectives for the fireteam to pursue while the Predator pursues them.
Fireteam members will get to choose from one of three classes, though four will be available in the final game. The Assault, The Scout, and The Support will team up during the trial weekend to complete randomly selected missions before they’re done in by the Predator or NPC foes.
During the trial the fireteam will be able to choose an assortment of weapons from every category. In-game weapons are able to level up and be modified.
The Predator will attack the fireteam as the Hunter. In the full game three classifications of Predators will be available, Hunter, Berserker, and Scout.
The Hunter is the well-balanced all-rounder, weaker yet faster than the Berserker, and slower yet stronger than the Scout. Predators can be male or female, and will have different armors available to customize their appearance.
