Pre-Alpha Footage Of New System Shock Remake Released

Night Dive Studios’ remastered System Shock 1 just had its first bit of footage released to the net, and as is evident in the embedded video above, it’s looking pretty damn good already.

Though the Unity engine gets more than its fair share of ridicule, the visual level they’ve reached – even at this stage of development – is fairly impressive. Night Dive’s previous work getting System Shock 2 and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter working on modern operating systems looks like it has paid off.

With this remake coming along so well, System Shock 2 now working on everything from Windows 98 to Windows 10, and System Shock 3‘s development being led by Warren Spector, fans of the ‘Shock’ series have a lot to look forward to.
