PRAGMATA tops 2 million sales worldwide

PRAGMATA

Sci-fi action-adventure game PRAGMATA has officially passed 2 million copies sold worldwide just weeks after release.

Capcom shared the news with a message to fans, along with a small in-game clip featuring Diana, one of the game’s central characters, holding a hand-drawn thank-you sign.

PRAGMATA originally launched on April 17th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Switch 2. Within just two days, the game had already crossed the 1 million sales mark, immediately signaling that Capcom had something special on its hands. Now, that number has doubled in a surprisingly short amount of time.

Part of the reason seems to be how different PRAGMATA feels compared to most modern action games. Instead of relying purely on combat, the game mixes exploration, shooting mechanics, and a unique hacking system that forces players to think creatively during encounters.

What makes this even more interesting is that completely new AAA IPs don’t often explode this quickly anymore. It’s much easier for publishers to lean on existing brands, so seeing a unique concept gain this level of traction says a lot about how strongly players connected with it. Right now, PRAGMATA looks like it could become one of Capcom’s most important new series moving forward.
