Aerannis developer Ektomarch has confirmed to Niche Gamer the game is nearly complete, and on track to finally release next month.
Coming from this, we learned of the September 15th release date for the post-feminist action game back in March of this year. Featured above, a brand new trailer for the game was revealed, showing off the game’s latest build, and quite a bit of its stealth-action.
In Aerannis, you play as a trans woman, Ceyda Farhi, who lives in a post-feminist dystopian city named Plovdiv. Women are considered the status quo in Plovdiv, and with Farhi being a trans woman, she’s going to have a difficult time alerting the public to a mass conspiracy. As you progress through the game, you’ll learn more of the secret behind the city, while also taking out assassination missions.
We’re told the September 15th release is 98% certain, with most of the game being redone since its Kickstarter footage and assets were created. You can expect levels “redesigned from scratch, heaps of old art and sprites have been redrawn,” with gameplay having been refined, as well as the AI being improved, and finally “everything is just better in general.”
We’ll keep you guys posted.
