• Popular Japanese Tiktoker Akari Akase Debuts Cosplay Music Video

    A little over 2 weeks ago, a new anime called My Dress Up Darling started broadcasting in Japan. So far the show’s a smash hit, which is no surprise because the manga is adorable and wholesome.

    The story is a rom-com that follows the everyday life of Wakana Gojou and Marin Kitagawa. Gojou works with his grandpa at a traditional Oriental Geisha doll shop and stumbled into the cosplay scene after Marin talks him into making clothes for her cosplay outfits.

    Tiktoker Akari Akase debuted a new music video of her in Marin cosplay singing the theme song for the show and its as cute as you imagine it would be.

    The My Dressup Darling anime is set to air for 12 episodes for 2022, and no announcement yet on a second season, but maybe that will change depending on the popularity of the first season.
