Pokken Tournament Arcade Controller Getting Western Release

pokken tournament 12-24-15-1

We’ve learned that the official home-release of the Pokken Tournament controller is actually getting a western release.

The HORI controller appeared on Amazon last night, and will set you back $24.99. It’s worth mentioning this controller is modeled after the arcade controller for the game, and as such, is designed specifically for Pokken Tournament, meaning it won’t work with other games.

The controller has a tentative release date set for March 18th of next year – while Pokken Tournament is still targeted for a Q2 release in 2016.

Too bad the roster for this game is so small, this game will die quickly or will get lots of paid DLC

Do they not understand that this is half the reason the game is dead in Arcades?

25$ controller for a single game?
    Are they nuts?

This is supposedly the prototype of the NX controller. The entire front face might be a touch screen. Analog controls will be inserted into your anus and controlled by your rectal muscles.

Merry Christmas from the Grohban family.

Well the GC adapter was $30 and that only works with one game, and that thing had a shortage and price gouging issue that rivaled amiibos. So maybe they think lightning will strike twice?

It won’t mind you, but still.

    Pretty bland controller.

I wouldn’t quite say “prototype”, but the similarities between the NX controller patents and the Pokken arcade controller are uncanny enough to the point where it’s likely they’ll roughly use that same mold for the NX one.

And Merry Christmas to you as well, brother.

has anyone used one of these in the arcade? What does the d-pad and make of the controller feel like?
