Pokemon X and Y are out now around the world, making this Pokemon release the first in the series’ history to be a simultaneous worldwide launch.
Apparently, the lines can number in the hundreds, some reports are even bigger than that! You can see some shots of the NYC launch below:

Pokemon X and Y are also available digitally on the eShop, so if you want to avoid the lines, the servers are probably a lot less clogged now that the midnight launch has passed.
