The Pokemon Company have announced the premiere date of their latest upcoming Pokemon film; Pokemon the Movie: Coco.
Pokemon: Coco (known as Pocket Monster the Movie: Coco in Japan) will follow the new Mythical Pokemon Zarude that was revealed on Pokemon Day earlier this year. Known as the Rogue Monkey Pokemon, Zarude is a Dark and Grass type who raises an abandoned human orphan.
According to the official Pokemon website, Zarude are traditionally territorial and respond violently to any creatures outside of their species. As previously reported, Coco believes this Pokemon is his father, and that he is a Pokemon himself.
The film was originally set to premiere July 10th in Japan, though was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe ending the country’s state of emergency in late May.
