The official Pokemon Twitter account has announced a special 24 hour livestream, which may reveal new details about Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield.
As explained on the official website, the premise is that Sonia (a character from the game and assistant to Professor Magnolia) has set up a live-feed camera in the Galar region’s Glimwood Tangle forest.
“My name’s Sonia, and I’m a Pokémon researcher. Here in Galar, I’m always helping out with research for my gran—Professor Magnolia, that is!
The broadcast appears as though it will show a CGI forest. It seems likely new Pokemon may be revealed this way, along with other new information. The broadcast will begin on October 4th at 6:00 am PDT via Twitch. The official Twitch Pokemon account has been used in the past to broadcast World Championships, and marathons of the anime.
Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are both launching on November 15th, for Nintendo Switch.
