Pokemon Go Rising Heroes Season

The new season of Pokemon Go has been announced. From March 1st to June 1st, 2023, the Pokemon GO Rising Heroes Season will take place offering trainers a variety of new and returning features.

During the season trainers will have the chance to battle against Regieleki and Regidrago in raids, Trainers will also be able to encounter Gimmighoul; trainers can lure out Gimmighoul using the Coin Bag (Lure) or Golden Lure Modules. Once players have enough coins, they will be able to evolve their Gimmighoul into a Gholdengo.


The new season will also bring changes to Battles, new moves, and new rank incentives. Let’s dig in:

Elite Raids & Community Day Dates Announced

Elite Raids are making their return to Pokemon Go. These raids can only be completed in person making for a more difficult challenge. Regidrago and Regieleki will only be available through Elite Raids during the Pokemon Go Rising Heroes Season.

The four community dates for the Pokemon GO Rising Heroes Season will take place on:

March Community Day 2023 – Mar 18, 2023
April Community Day 2023 – Apr 15, 2023
April Community Day Classic 2023 – Apr 29, 2023
May Community Day 2023 – May 21, 2023

At the moment, only the March 18th Community Day has been revealed; trainers around the globe will be able to catch an abundance of Slowpoke and Galarian Slowpoke.

Melmetal Timed Research & Go Battle League

Trainers can purchase the Willow’s Wardrobe timed research task. This time research cost $4.99 and can be purchased until June 1st, 2023; the research task will be available until June 30th, 2023. This special research task grants players special avatar items themed after Professor Willow. Trainers will also have the opportunity to encounter a Melmetal with the Special Charged Attack Double Iron Bash.

During the Pokemon Go Rising Heroes season, trainers can participate in a variety of Battle Leagues. Trainers keep an eye out for the Fantasy Cup: Ultra League Edition, the Color Cup: Great League Edition, the Mountain Cup: Great League Edition, and the Spring Cup: Great League Edition.

  • Increased damage dealt by Pokémon participating in raids remotely
  • Team GO Rocket will appear more frequently at PokéStops
  • Extra Stardust earned from Team GO Rocket encounters
