The Pokemon Company have announced Pokemon Evolutions; a series of shorts to be released on YouTube over the coming weeks.
Akin to the Pokemon Generations in 2016, The Pokemon Company will release animated shorts on YouTube based on the major events of the mainline series of games. Pokemon Evolution looks to focus on mainly the modern games, and in celebration of the series 25th anniversary.
The eight episodes will take place across the regions of Galar, Alola, Kalos, Unova, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Johnto, and Kanto. This also means they will be tackling the mainline games in reverse order.
Based on the episode title names and the clips shown in the trailer, we can piece together what the stories may be about. These include Leon fighting Eternatus (Sword and Shield), Lillie confronting Lusamine (Sun and Moon), Lysandre unleashing the power of the ultimate weapon, and Ghetsis commanding Zekrom (Black and White).
There will also be adventures with Barry and Empoleon (Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl), Zianna and Rayquaza (Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire‘s Delta Episode), Lugia and the Kimono Sisters (Heart Gold and Soul Silver), and Leaf and Blastoise (either Fire Red and Leaf Green, or Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee). Between the adventures will be the connecting thread of a single Pikachu.
