Pokemon Champions mobile version launches this month

Publisher The Pokemon Company and developer The Pokemon Works announced release date for Pokemon Champions on smartphones.

Their new multiplayer-focused Pokemon battling game is coming to iOS and Android later this month, on June 17th. Pokemon Champions first launched for Nintendo Switch on April 8th.

The free-to-play game will support cross-platform play between Switch, Switch 2, and smartphones, allowing players to enjoy battles seamlessly across systems.

To celebrate the game’s mobile launch from June 17th through September 2nd players that log onto the game will get Raichu, Raichunite X, and Raichunite Y by checking their in-game mailbox. Raichu can be obtained through other means, and Mega Stones will become available through the in-game shop or other features at a later date.

In Pokémon Champions, you can enjoy Pokémon battles against Trainers from around the world. You can play in Ranked Battles, featuring serious matches against players across the globe, or have fun in easygoing Casual Battles. You can also battle against your family, friends, and other Trainers in Private Battles.

Get Pokémon for Your Team!

Even if you haven’t played a Pokémon series game before, you can find Pokémon to battle alongside you in Pokémon Champions. You can also link to Pokémon HOME to team up with certain Pokémon you’ve previously befriended.
