Pleasure Island VN, Otoko Yuukaku, Coming to the PS Vita Soon

Otoko Yuukaku is a PS Vita remake of the Android and iOS visual novel, Forbidden Romance: The Men of Yoshiwara (Gyakuten Yoshiwara in Japanese), that features longer scenarios and more CGs than the original, as well as a new romanceable character, Itou Keiji.

This otome is set on a pleasure island, where all men are courtesans. The protagonist is a loveless, plain girl who works at a wholesale store who, after helping a courtesan and his lover escape the island, becomes so forlorn that she finds herself drawn to Kikuya, the best pleasure house on the island. The VN has an age rating of 17+.

Otoko Yuukaku releases on February 19 on the Playstation Vita in Japan, and will cost 6,458 yen. The mobile game has microtransactions; the Vita remake will presumably absorb all of those charges in its price.

Westerners needn’t feel (too) disappointed: the freemium original, Forbidden Romance: The Men of Yoshiwara, is available in English for Android and iOS mobile devices. (Warning: players have noted that the game makes their devices run hot.)
