When Sony Computer Entertainment announced the North American pre-orders for PlayStation VR, many fans were scratching their heads as to why the company was only giving the option to pre-order the full bundle, and not the standalone unit.

Now, Sony has announced they’ll be offering pre-orders for just the standalone unit, for $399.99. Pre-orders will go live on Mach 29th, at 7 AM Pacific time.

“Thanks to everyone for sharing their feedback on PlayStation VR pre-orders,” said John Koller, Vice President, PlayStation Brand Marketing, SCEA.

“It’s clear that there’s a lot of interest from many of you to secure the PlayStation VR core system, and I’m happy to share that we’ve decided to make it available for pre-order on Tuesday, March 29, at 7:00 a.m. PT at participating retailers.”

The PlayStation VR Launch Bundle, which goes for $499.99, will go up for pre-order tomorrow, March 22nd, at 7 AM Pacific.
