Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia have confirmed that their new Playstation Vita TV is coming to regions outside of Japan – namely regions like Hong Kong and Singapore.

Vita TV is set to release in Asian regions on January 16th of next year, and it will let users play Playstation One games, Playstation Portable games, and certain Vita TV enabled games on your home TV.

The home console will retail at $798 HK (roughly $103 USD), and it also comes in a value pack that is bundled with a Dualshock 3 and an 8GB memory card for $1180 (roughly $152 USD).

The Vita TV also has media streaming apps like Tsutaya TV and Hulu Plus in Japan, but currently no media apps have been confirmed for the releases outside of Japan.

So hopefully Western countries are next to get the Playstation Vita TV?
