Sony has announced the death of Playstation Vita release date for Playstation TV – the microconsole will be coming to North Americans on October 14th.
Announced during their Gamescom 2014 press conference, the set top box will enable Playstation 4 users to stream games into other rooms (or other screens in the same room, you weirdo) via Remote Play. You’ll also be able to shove PS Vita cartridges into it, or load up digital copies of Vita, PS1, or PSP games – that is if they’re supported, of course. If you’ve been using the Playstation Now beta, you can try that out as well.
The unit will cost $99 dollars by itself, and if you want the bundle (a Dualshock 3, HDMI cable, 8GB memory card, and a copy of Lego The Movie), that’ll set you back $139 dollars.
